I was skimming an article on CNN about how drug runners are using submarines to bring cocaine into the country, and ran across this:
"Last year, the Coast Guard seized a record 355,000 pounds of cocaine worth an estimated $4.7 billion -- a 2 percent increase over 2006."
Over 177 TONS of cocaine?!? That we STOPPED?! Each year, from the looks of it?
I knew we had a drug problem, but I never imagined the scale was that big before.
